I grew up in Indiana in a home where my parents taught me the gospel from a young age. One day after getting into a fight with my brother, my mom shared some verses from Romans with me. With my sin fresh on my mind, the truth of Romans 5:8, that Jesus died for me while I was still a sinner, finally made sense. God had opened my eyes to my sinfulness and need for a Savior. That day I trusted in Jesus’ work for me as my only hope to be right with God and live forever with him.
The impact of both my grandfather (my first pastor) and my youth pastor caused me to begin seriously considering pastoral ministry. My family helped start a church when I was in high school, and God used that to give me an interest in church planting. I met my wonderful wife Elizabeth at college and we were married in 2011. After seminary, I served as an assistant pastor for 6 years in South Carolina. In 2023, God led us to Wisconsin to work with Lakewood Baptist Church to plant a new church in the greater Milwaukee area. I currently serve as the Pastor for Church Planting with the goal of church planting in the near future. God has blessed us with 3 energetic boys and 1 sweet little girl. We love hiking, running, cycling, and exploring new places together!
